Offering young children a variety of fine motor experiences strengthens their hand muscles, builds coordination and helps them develop skills that will lead them to being successful writers. Participants in this session will explore the importance of fine motor skills in a child's overall development, how to offer a wide range of fine motor experiences using common materials, and strategies for providing emerging writers meaningful, play-based opportunities with writing tools.
