Course Description: Help child care providers/teachers proactively plan and prepare for emergencies by helping them develop and implement an effective emergency plan in their child care program. Identifying hazards and risks; creating a written plan that addresses the emergency needs of their program; and communicating, practicing, and updating their emergency plan on a regular basis, are some of the effective strategies covered in this class. Video examples and discussions are included to help child care providers walk away with ideas they can begin using right away in their classroom/home environments.
