Providers will learn which math activities are appropriate for each age group. They will be given the opportunity to apply that knowledge by developing activities based on popular children's books. Participants will learn about the seven concrete learning areas of math ̶ number recognition, classification/comparison, measuring, counting (cardinal and ordinal), spatial relationships, graphing and ordering. They will use these areas to develop math activities to help children gain an understanding in those concepts.
