The ability to focus attention and to control impulses are essential to school success. Research shows that these skills are closely related to the ability to self-regulate. There are many ways child care providers can encourage this development. Class participants will gain an understanding of self-regulation, as well as learn strategies that will help them increase the level of focus and control in young children.
