This class will help child care providers/teachers proactively plan and prepare for emergencies by helping them develop and implement an effective emergency plan in their child care program. Some of the effective strategies covered in this class include identifying hazards and risks; creating a written plan that addresses the emergency needs of the program; and communicating, practicing and updating emergency plans on a regular basis. Video examples and discussions will be included to help child care providers walk away with ideas they can begin using right away in their classroom and home environments.
*This class meets 2 of the 4 hours of the annual Health and Safety Topic Requirements.
